KIND WORDS

Sascha, I don’t even know how to begin thanking you! I am so incredibly thankful for your guidance and support through our birth. You made all the difference... I have never felt so empowered in my life. I simply love that this birth was such a positive experience and it’s truly a joy to relive it:) You have such an amazing gift for guiding mammas through labor and delivery! Thank you for sharing your passion! Janelle The Kay

Sascha Steenbergen was such an incredible coach to me during one of the hardest experiences of early motherhood. Everyone knows becoming a first-time mom is an unexplainable JOY but between the sleep deprivation, a move across the country and breastfeeding issues, I was falling apart. I was devastated having learned after several post-feed weight checks during many lactation appointments that I simply didn’t have enough milk to feed my precious first born. Through many tears, yet with determination, I devoted my feeds to the SNS (supplemental nursing system) which was a pain but the only way to have my baby still latch, not get frustrated, stimulate my milk production and still get a tiny bit of breastmilk nutrients to my baby. My heart was immediately uplifted after one phone call with Sascha who genuinely shared with me her past nursing struggles and encouraged me forward with my plans. She was so helpful and such an angel to me during that time. I know God used her directly to gently comfort me and passionately cheer me on despite the struggles. Thank you Sascha for your influence and genuine care and interest. Kristyn Henley

Having had a traumatic birth experience with my third baby, I felt the need to have extra support for my fourth delivery. Sascha was amazing!!! She knew exactly what I needed at the right time. Her ability to provide support on an emotional and physical level, both during my actual delivery and during my prenatal period, was incredible. She was also sensitive to respect the role of my husband as a support figure and was an irreplaceable part of my birth team. My only regret is that I didn’t have her for all of my deliveries! about-us

About Us

That moment during birth when we all look at each other in the dimly lit, warm, love-filled room and laugh joyously because the oxytocin is flowing, and we are all in awe of the power of the birthing mama. She closes her eyes and dives under another wave that rushes through her being. She knows she is strong; she knows she is bringing forth life.

Or the moment when you look over at your partner, whose eyes are filled with pride for how strong you are, and you both look eagerly at the Obstetrician as they hold up your baby after a caesarean. The oxytocin that surges when you snuggle your new baby-you brought baby here!

Whatever birth looks like for you-I’m here for it!

I’ve had a passion for birth since I was young. I was privileged to observe my youngest brother be born and I knew that birth was momentous, powerful, and sacred from that moment on. Before giving birth to our three daughters and miscarried son, I took a doula training course. The knowledge grounded and empowered me as I gave birth and later supported other birthers as they became parents.

I’ve felt very privileged to assist family’s birth in a wide variety of settings and ways. Each birth story has been so unique, each one has taught me so much about how people can birth when they feel completely seen, heard, empowered, and supported.

I completed my training to become a childbirth educator and have been serving as a childbirth instructor and doula. I feel so honored to support the birth community and find my bliss serving families on their journey through birth. I truly believe that when we feel supported through evidence-based information, tangible techniques for an empowered birth experience and a feeling of preparedness for the postpartum period along with informational support for breastfeeding and newborn care, we can raise the level of joy and fulfillment for new parents!

Thank you,
Sascha Steenbergen
